Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Shared Lives Studio in Toledo, Ohio.  We value volunteers and consider them an important part of our studio.  Your time and experience will make a difference and allows the artists the opportunity to connect with people in our community.

There are so many ways that you can get involved and you don’t have to be an artist.  Some activities that you may be asked to do while working in the studio:

• Working one on one with an artist
• Tracing patterns and cutting
• Aiding the artist getting paint and brushes
• Helping artists set up for a project
• Help organize the studio
• Detailing work
• Cleaning up

We use volunteers in a number of different ways. Volunteers assist with preparing and installing exhibitions, opening receptions, and working annual shows; set up, greet, writing receipts and wrapping art.  We also can use your talents to assist us in public relations and publicity, and researching and developing possible funding sources for Shared Lives Studio.
